Michelle Amy Weddings

Hi, Many of you will already know me from before my re-brand, and but for those of you who don’t I am Michelle, the person behind Michelle Amy Weddings, Manchester’s Urban Wedding Planner!

I have been a Wedding Planner & Co-ordinator now for almost 5 years and it is hands down the best job I have ever had!! Don’t get me wrong, It’s hard work and can sometimes be exhausting, but there is nothing like seeing my couple and their loved ones so happy on their wedding day.

I have had the pleasure of planning so many different styles of weddings, from classic traditional to colourful African style. But after five years and dozens of lovely couples, it’s time to follow my passion Urban, Industrial, non-traditional weddings for couples who think differently. These are my style of weddings and I get to be so much more creative with them as I find that couples who want this style want to think outside the box and add their own personality to their wedding.

So, I decided to make a big decision and re-brand my business to reflect the kind of weddings I want to plan and I’m pretty excited about the change., it’s been a crazy journey and one I want to thank you all for joining me on!!

I was quite nervous about revealing my logo, but I couldn’t be happier with it, it’s not your typical wedding style and that’s why I like it. I love the gritty non-traditional feel to it, it has a dark but bright feeling to it which is something quite unique. It fits my brand perfectly and stands out far from other wedding styles with swirly writing and pastel colours. I have and I have had amazing feedback from it!! I hope you are also loving the brand spanking new website, any feedback is welcome!!

Ok, so that’s enough about the rebrand, now for the fun bits about me.

I am originally from Canada moving when I was around 3 to Wales –, well, the small Island off Wales called Anglesey, then to Manchester when I was around 8. So, I have lived in Manchester for around 29 years and I love it. Manchester is a great city, it has so much history, great things to do, and amazing places to get married!!

I am married myself and have been for 12 years., I had a very small wedding in a hotel and if I was to do it all again I would do it all so very differently now…, except for change the groom, I do actually quite like him, but don’t tell him that….HAHA.

I enjoy travelling, well actually, I’m terrified of flying and I certainly don’t have functioning sea legs, (the sooner they invent a teleporter the better!) But I do love exploring new places, I am lucky enough to have travelled from America to Australia and lots of places in between, but there is still so much out there I cannot wait to see. Up to now my favourite place to visit has to be Italy, I love Italian food and I always wanted to go, so for our 10 year wedding anniversary we went to Florence and I fell in love with it. It’s such a beautiful place and I enjoyed getting lost on the side streets and finding the cutest little shops, as well as sitting on cobbled streets drinking wine and watching the world go by. I can’t wait to go back and visit Italy again, part of me wishes I had gone back packing when I was younger, not sure I could manage it now, I like my luxury hotels too much!

Now you know the person behind the business don’t forget to follow me on social media.
